This is THE trip that started everything. I have been living in Bali for a few months now, as I reside in Seminyak, Ubud has always been a top priority as my weekend getaway. My bf came across Casa Avana from Airbnb, and one click changed everything. We completely fell in love with the villa at first glance, and when we arrived, it was everything that we dreamed of, only better.
The villa was so beautiful, with the most peaceful surroundings ever. Everywhere you go, every corner from the house is surrounded by rice fields that overlooks the mountains. Sunrise and sunsets hypnotises your eyes, and every once in a while you'll encounter rice paddy farmers working with a smile on their faces.
can I stay here forever?
Don't let the surroundings fool you, the villa might be in the middle of the rice fields but its only around 3 minutes walking distance to the main road. And once you're in the main road, it's around 5 minutes ride (we used a motorbike) to central Ubud (Jl. Raya Ubud or Monkey Forest).
There are three rooms on the villa, the owners, Tari and Krisna (two of the coolest and most laid-back people ever) stays in one of the room, and they rented the other two. The rooms are quite small but for the two of us it's more than enough. Wifi are available throughout the house. With en-suite bathroom and hot shower, and an air conditioner right above the bed, we called this home in a second.
This villa is VERY new, and everything works perfectly well. Tari and Krisna are on the process of creating their own edible garden beside the pool. Can't wait to see it!
edible garden coming soon!
Set an alarm at around 6am in the morning and prepared to be amused by the mesmerising sunrise. Only in the morning that you'll have a proper view of the three mountains that you could spot from the balcony of your room. Trust me, go and make yourself a cup of coffee or tea in the morning at the semi-opened kitchen slash living room overlooking the pool and the rice fields. The view is priceless.
sunrise view with Mt. Agung
isn't this just the best view to wake up to?
The villa is located 300meters from Jl. Raya Goa Gajah Main road, which is around 5 minutes away from Jl. Raya Ubud (by motorbike). The pathway from the main road to the villa is accessible by motorbikes, or you can park your car at the main road and walk (3 minutes) to the villa while enjoying the beautiful scenery of the rice fields. Don't worry if you have luggages with you, let the host know and they'll happily help you with it!
oh look at that beautiful rice fields
Tari and Krisna are the most laid back and coolest hosts I know. They both have been traveling around the world (you can really tell by the style of the house that is not a typical Indonesian designed house) and are opened to hear and share your stories! Tari and Krisna are both yoga teachers, and they'll happily assist with any inquiries regarding your stay or yoga! I requested a motorbike for our stay and the bike was there when we arrived at the villa, with an additional of Rp. 50.000 / day.
my bf chilling with the owner, Krisna
This is probably the part where its just too good to be true. I paid around Rp.350.000 per night for our room at this stunning villa via Airbnb. Be in mind that this is the price for February 2017, and it's the opening price for this villa. Every corner of this villa is so instagram worthy. I love it.
I am beyond blessed that I only live around an hour away from this hidden paradise. This will certainly be the first of many more visit here. Not just that, I am pretty much considering to move to Ubud. All those taxis honking me every time I walked in Seminyak. Geez. Thank you so much for the pleasant stay Krisna and Tari! See you guys real soon! :)
